高科技恋情
Hi-tech Romance.
Part one, reading.
Both Xiaoling and Robort are librarians. Xiaoling is from America, and Robort is from Australia. Four days after they met face to face for the first time they got married. That was quick, you might think. Actually they had known each other for nine months before they met. Thanks to E-mail, electronic mail, they had been corresponding with each other through their computers. It all started when Xiaoling came across Robot's note in her computer. She replied to it. From then on, they would not only get in touch but flirt with each other. That was how this hi-tech romance began.
Sound interesting? Well, if you were looking for a spouse, why not give it a try? Who knows? You might be just as lucky as Xiaoling and Robot.
Of course, first of all, you've got to buy a computer.
Yeah.
Without computer you can't do anything at all.
And the telephone.
Computers had changed our world.
They had.
Hi-tech, high technology.
If you shorten these two, and of course this expression is used as an adjective.
What is "romance", what does it mean?
I have no idea. haha.
Actually it means some sort of relationship. Especially when you are in love with someone, then this kind of situation is called romance.
Oh.  What's love?
He loves himself only, haha.
Romance is just as Peter said, is a special relationship, and it's a way to carry on this relationship between two lovers. People who are very interested in each other and probably later want to get married. This period of time usually before marriage but sometimes after marriage, too, is called a romance.

Sherry is a very romantic girl, so all the boys like her.
If the girl is romantic, what is she like?
Well, she'll be very thoughtful about her boyfriend, and she'll play with him, maybe suggests things for them to do, and write him love letters and maybe she'll take him out or she will keep her relationship very active.

Both Xiaoling and Robort are librarians.
(They are employees at a certain library.
There are two pronunciations for the word "employee".
For those who never bother to study, being a librarian can be very dull, but for you..maybe that's not the story we know that you like to read, you read a lot.
Yes. I love reading.
It's not bad to be a librarian, is it?
Yes. But I like being a teacher, too.
Xiaoling is from America, and Robort is from Australia.
(Xiaoling is an American and Robert is an Australian.
Four days after they met face to face for the first time they got married.
(这种句型在英语中是很常用的，对中国人来讲可能比较难。
在before, after的前面是“一段时间”。
在他到来的前两天这里有一个地震。
There's an earthquake here two days before he came.
他来后两天他就和她结婚了，
Two days after he came here, he married Mary.
face to face, 副词短语
In an interview, you must talk to someone face to face.
"Someone" here is your interviewer. And you yourself are, in this case, we say "interviewee".
You've got to talk to him face to face about this problem.
That was quick, you might think.
Actually they had known each other for nine months before they met.
（They were no strangers to each other.
Good expression. To be no stranger to someone or something.
I am no stranger to chocolater.
In another word, Bruce is crazy about chocolater.
craze, have a craze for something, have a craze about soemthing,
He has a craze about chocolater.
这个craze也可以用作动词。

使...出现裂纹; 使微裂
They were crazed by the famine and pestilence of that bitter winter.
他们因那年严冬的饥饿与瘟疫而折磨得发狂。

I first got acquainted with Henry four years ago.

Although I was a college student away from home, I corresponded with my family by mail.
correspond with 还有一个意思是“符合。。”的意思。

He actions correspond with his words.
____另外一课中有Say what you mean and mean what you say,
It all started when Xiaoling came across Robot's note in her computer.
(it all started ...这里的all完全起强调的作用。其实这种用法很有意思，应该学起来。习惯中常用。
If we see an accident, for example, and we tell somebody, you might hear the person say, uhh, it all happened so quickly...
come across, 无意中碰到，
I came across an old high school friend while in town yesterday.
I bumped into an old high school friend while in town yesterday.
She replied to it.
(通常我们写便条的时候，不一定要写完整的句子。
原来他是讲，I feel lonely; I need company. 。。。我需要陪伴，可不要说I need a company, 这种情况下是“公司”了。如果一定要用a, 可以说I need a friend.
这里的reply要说一下，一定要与to连用。
He didn't reply to my letter, 不要说He didn't reply my letter. 但如果用answer,后面就不要连to了。
He didn't answer my letter.

Well, that means you act in a romantic way with someone...somtimes a girls will pretend that "oh, I don't feel very well today" and then the boy suppose to play with her, "oh, my darling, what's wrong? " and then they could continue to talk to each other ...
Look at Peter, he's flirting with Mary.
That was how this hi-tech romance began.

(spouse, A marriage partner; a husband or wife.
to give it a try, to give it a shot,
I know this job is difficult, but at least you should give it a try.
Who knows? You might be just as lucky as Xiaoling and Robot.
